August 28: Give ‘em What They Want!”
Candidates will be invited to tell US what we can do for THEM. Let’s make the best of our abilities and get our Republican candidates elected! We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Main Branch of the Library, 43 W. Third St., Mansfield.
Sept. 25: “Ohio Republican Party”
We make phone calls for them, we go door-to-door for them, they ask us for money. So, what exactly is the ORP and how does it work? Who gets paid and who volunteers? It’s time we find out just how this organization is structured and what makes it tick. Get together with representatives from the ORP and find out everything you ever wanted to know! We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 106 W. Main St., Lucas. See you there!
Oct. 30: “Republican Party Platform”
The Republican Party Convention is over, we’ve nominated our candidate and we’ve adopted a platform. Local representative to the convention, Kay Leitenberger will fill us in on her experience and what it means to all of us! We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Ontario Branch of the Library, 2221 Village Mall Dr., Ontario.
Nov. 20: “Now it’s our turn!”
There may not be many yard signs, but there will be an election. In addition to our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, we will elect new officers at our November meeting. Please bring a covered dish and, while you’re at it, bring your spouse or a friend. Entree, drinks and table service will be provided. We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 640 Millsboro Rd., Mansfield.
Dec. 29: “Annual Christmas Meeting”
Let’s welcome the newly elected leaders of our club at the “Installation of Officers” ceremony. And, what would our Christmas meeting be without food? Remember to bring your favorite hors d’ouevre. In the spirit of the season, please bring a child’s board book to donate to Mansfield’s Laundry Basket Book Exchange. We’ll meet at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Marian Anderson, 2803 Moffet Rd., Lucas.
In addition to these events we will have several on-going projects throughout the year including the Bicentennial Celebration and Mansfield Laundry Basket Book Exchange. We will also be getting updates on legislative issues and continuing our support of the 179th AirLift Wing.
