Committee
If
you want to become a precinct committeeman:
Richland County is broken out to 95 precincts
within the county. Each precinct has the ability to have one Republican
representative for that precinct. The central committeemen terms are 2 years
and if you do not file papers to run for the office, you can contact the
local board of elections AND the Central Committee Chairman (Bob Entenmann)
to be voted on at a central committee meeting to fill a vacancy for your
precinct. The Richland County Board of Elections (419-774-5530) is
responsible for determining whether you qualify for the position (voter
registration, age, address, etc.).
The primary duties of the precinct committeemen are:
- To attend central committee meetings (held
at least quarterly to elect party officers and fill vacancies in local
elected offices.

Promote Republican activities and Organizations.
- Assist and support Republican party fundraisers, help the finance committee
raise money for the party and its candidates and activities.
